    If you bought it last month you might need to run cause this month is running out.

    • Gasoline-powered equipment may be returned within 30 days of purchase with a valid sales receipt. After 30 days, item may be sent out for repair at the customer's expense, unless covered under warranty.

    Unbolt the muffler and look in the exhaust port. turn it over. If you see vertical scoring on the piston skirt its damaged.

    See here, this was a recent example we saw of a guy on another forum i frequent who ran a tank of straight gas in a screaming 14,000 rpm 26cc and blew the motor. Different application than a saw but the result is the same.

    If it's running fine, mix correctly from here on out and consider yourself lucky. Leaf blowers don't see the RPM's that saws do and that may have saved you in this case.

    But leaf blowers are under a lot of load like chainsaws in the cut. No oil may cause bearing failure prematurely.

    Think about how every straight-gassed saw we all have seen fails. Have you ever pulled apart a saw that was straight-gassed and seen the top-end intact and the bearing toasted? Me neither. ;) Even if the big end bearing did get a little warm, it should be fine from here on out providing it doesn't have a cracked cage. (unlikely) If he had done damage to a bearing it would be noticeably noisy.

    Most piston failures I see is air to fuel lean seize. My point is a blower is under a great load, much more stressful than high RPM. Bearings have failed before pistons because of lack of oil. Just a guess but I bet manufactures cut corners somewhere in the lower priced equipment. Maybe cheap cages?

    Actually this whole thread is pointless. The OP admittedly straight gased it for 20 minutes, wants us to help but will return to the store for a refund if it damaged?

    I'm betting it'll be fine bud......being new, and having had that happen, maybe run it a little rich with oil next tank of gas or two. It'll smoke but it may also help the rings with that extra lube....

    Speaking of oil, I've been running Amsoil Sabre 2 cycle oil and I gotta say I love it!
