Years ago, I had a chain sharpened by an individual using one but it seemed the angle grinded into the chain was noticeably different that the markings on the teeth.

Anyway, not sure of which one to pursue and looking for recommendations and "real user" reviews.

    Thanks!

I have a Tecomec Super jolly. They make all of the oregon branded sharpeners and are priced much lower. I should have listened to huskihl years ago and acquired one. I'll never hand file again. I definitely like tuning the chains to the saw. I run more aggressive grinds on my ported saws vs stock for instance.

I also have the Super Jolly, and have never regretted that purchase.

I use the CBN wheels, I ordered a CBN raker wheel from Baltic Abrasive in Europe. I love not having to dress any wheels.

I have the Oregon and switched to CBN wheels. It works great and no wheels to dress and a lot less grit to clean-up.

Oregon 520-120 here. Learning curve was short and I use mine primarily to get chains that have been rocked or have “found” metal to get them back in shape. Hand file mostly on saw but as the cutters get a bit “off” I then will touch them up on the grinder to get the angles back to spec. Others will tell you that a very light touch on the teeth is necessary to keep from burning the teeth. A couple passes through the chain is preferable to trying to hog off too much at once. Once you get comfortable with your grinder you will be very pleased.

Found out about one that may be available. Person tried using it but sounds like it wasn't set up right.

    Also 520-120
Small bites and start on what is the best looking tooth and work it until the one that ate rocks comes around.
I also hand file until I get one that likes to eat metal or rocks then a tune up on the grinder.

Pretty sure that machine is a bit of overkill for my needs, and I don't know that I want to see the price tag.

$8099.99. A super jolly is slightly less than the cost of a roll of chain.

Well...........the person I spoke with yesterday about the chainsaw grinder never called back with the brand model and what price they would like for it.
