I never seem to have any 'cleanzall' handy when I grab a dirty funnel. Have resorted to wading up rags and pulling through.

I just now decided all funnels should come with storage lids.

I used to use a ratio rite until I found the maxima like Steve posted earlier. I’ve been using it a couple years. I like it a little gooder IMG_4132.jpeg

Yuze guys are anal about funnels. I use a couple of them almost every day draining fuel and oil from saws so I just leave them upside down in the shop. I have the bottom half of a bucket screwed to the wall with all the rest of the funnels sitting in it. They don’t get used much but I just wipe them out when I need one

Cross contamination is bad in the kitchen and in the shop! Yep, it's a spot of OC for me for sure. It was earned though. It kicks in if I'm at another location looking for a funnel too. Almost impossible to find a clean one in a foreign environment. Using a dirty funnel to add clean engine oil (or whatevs) after a change is like having to take a crap 5 minutes after getting out of the shower. Bothersome.

I figure I am going to wipe it out before I use it either way. Sitting upside down in the shop doesn’t seem to grab too much dust

Never seen that one before. It should do the job perfectly. I had a ratio rite for years but once I started the oil testing I wanted to make sure I was being as accurate as I could be. The graduated cylinders are definitely more accurate. The ratio rite was off a fair amount. I just can't remember which way, richer or leaner.

Some of those little single use bottles of oil from some companies are not accurate in the amount in the bottle. Almost always less in my experience if they are off. Thats a recipe for disaster with some oils in a 50:1 mix thats actually 60:1 or something because they shorted you some lube.
