    Yes i did none of that ,with the width of the bar ,i do not see how it could help for as much time as it takes to mod a chain like that ,lighter is only advantage i can see to help the power of the saw

    Look at the rivers and you can see where they drag in the wood. Less friction=faster cuts.

    Look at the rub marks on the rivets. You can see the marks on what part is rubbing in the cut.

    is that from the wood or the plastic buffers on the saw side cover ?

    I believe it's from the wood. The plastic pieces don't usually rub much unless a chain jumps off the bar. Either way it's friction on the chain.

    Full house chain has been used before by Art Martin. Not sure there's any real benefit to it.

    A few things have changed since then...
    The HP of the average GTG saw for one thing.. Too bad most of their pics are gone from that thread..

    The best part is no one has told us we don't know anything and off the roll is best. If we could just get DC here that would be even better.
