Who would rebuild a 290 and not put a 390 top on out while at it?

    So do y'all actually log?

Those clamshells can be made to run really well...
They ain't gonna win a 4 cube race, but properly done, and a good, sharp chain, they'll embarrass the neighbor's pro grade 60cc saw when out cutting wood..

    Everything is relative..

This is the HyWay cyl. Looks identical to the pics Brad posted of the Baileys "long block" that's available for these too.

    I bet every saw I own that Phil's 290 is a 290 @ 46mm.
There is more to the muffler mod than what you see. But that's all you get to see. Sorry.
Why build it as a 290? Why spend money on a 390 when you have free 290 parts laying around? That's why!

The saw does not have a pop up.
I cannot confirm nor deny that I touched it with a few different burrs.

Id be glad to mod your 029/290.
Send me the muffler, carb and cylinder.

Ahhh.... Well you better make sure the beverages are Gluten Free. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease back in Feb.
Most hard ciders are good, preferably a micro-brew cider :)
I have been resorting to wine lately too.
    Sucks I know......but I don't have a choice.

Well thats a bummer. I really dont drink myself. I will and do...just i dont really have the taste for it so i rather drink something i like, say mt dew or coke.

For some reason it dosent taste that good to me. Cheap expensive or in between. Those lemonades or ciders are mostly good bit i dont really care...cheaper for me anyway:):rootintootin:

What's the going rate to "build" a 290 like that? I don't have one, but after seeing that? It looked like it would spit in an 036's face!! :dex:
