This is the finished piston and lower transfer grinding. Farthest I've taken a clammy. Guess we will find out what becomes of it.

Onto exhaust next. Its 20 mm wide. Im taking it to 26-27mm. 41mm bore x .65 is 26.65mm.

Exhaust roughed in. Little bit more touch up then polishing. It's pretty much the shape and size its going to stay.

    Progress...

Finished exhaust after polishing. I see the symmetry is off a tad on the right side compared to the left. To late now. OCD...

    Intake...

Lowered from 66° BTDC to 75° BTDC. Widened a smidge. Matched the carb mount to the port.

Silver removed off muffler and black installed. Matched the exhaust port and muffler. Forgot to take pictures.
    That's all for today.

Thanks bud. Hopefully it will liven it up. I've yet to have one have less power out of 9-10 different saws but I'm sure a real builder would have far exceeded my gains. I'm just board and experimenting. Lol. I did a green version of this 260 with a different 260 top end I swapped onto it. I wet to far and free ported it. It had more power than stock but it ran erratic.

Ultimately, I'd like to get into porting large scale RC car engines. I know way more locals that would be interested in that type of thing.

I have an update. Buttoned up the saw yesterday, went to fire it up and fuel started pouring out of the carburetor after using the purge bulb. I put a new diaphragm kit in the carb before rebuilding / porting it. I might need to put a new needle in it or adjust the lever.

I've had that happen randomly on diaphragm carbs...usually can pull it apart, blow everything off, reassemble, and its fine.

I'll be on that today. Something is either stuck in it that didn't come out when I cleaned it or the tip is messed up on the needle. This carb is a pain to remove too. 5 pounds of $#@& in a 2# sack. Lol

Well I got the pos running. Stiffest throttle I've seen in a saw. It will probably give ya Popeye arm if used regularly.

There's a reason there's no chain on it in the vid. I was only using the bar to space the clutch cover correctly so I could use the break to ensure the clutch is tight. No sense in slinging out oil everywhere just yet.

I still need to put a chain tensioner in it. It's missing the clip that holds the adjuster bolt in the cover.
