You're about ready for fire in the hole.

    Getting closer!

Still have to sweep the chimney out and cut the damper frame for clearance.

Doesn't look like the easiest chimney to put a liner in.

It has not been too bad so far. As long as the weather cooperates, it goes pretty fast.

Im going to cut a square "hole" in the concrete chimney cap and drop the liner down.

I wondered if you could work the top loose and lift it off.

The top is lag bolted to the support columns. Its pretty solid.

Even if I could get it loose, I don't think I could lift/move it. Its got steel framework in the concrete for support. It is heavy as hell!

There is not enough clearance between the flue exit and the concrete cap to install the chimney cap assembly correctly.
I'll layout and mark an 8" square on the top of the concrete cap and cut it out with a skill saw

Down the chimney with the 25' liner.

Got to trim it to length and install the top cap

    Got the top cap installed.

Also got the liner hooked up to the stack transition. Not much room for me to work in there! I could barely get in there to get it hooked up. Once it was hooked up, I had to go back in with the cordless drill and drill some 1/16th diameter screw starter holes for the screws than mechanically fasten the "elbow" to the transition stack.

Finished the 6" duct work to channel hot air into the upstairs ductwork. It keeps the upstairs around 68°- 70° so far
