Getting stuff done around the house today while I have a day off. Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain……. Bought and replenished the salt in our softener. Completed a dump run. Took care of Birthday card and gifts for my wife, etc. Then took my wife and kids out to dinner tonight for my Wife’s Birthday. Nice to be with all three of our youngest ones again. With two of them off to college things are different. But we are fortunate they are both close enough to see regularly. Only about a 30 minute drive.
Yesterday afternoon, 11 Days later and the replacement cc (with new number) got here. I think it got lost in the mail last Saturday as I got a stack of someone else's mail (different road, different town, but at least the house number was the same). I asked on my town FB page if anyone had gotten my mail, but there were no takers. There was a taker for the mail I received and I delivered that to where it was supposed to be. Guessing that whomever got my mail put it back in their mail box for the USPS to deal with. Anyway, got it activated last night and went on a spending spree - buying books for my kindle. Glad to see my points carried over to the new account number as all my books were actually "free" once all was said and done. And no, the original cc has not shown up.
Mowing grass today. First time this season. It was cold mowing this morning. A little warmer now so that the black flies could come out! BUT. ITS NOT SNOWING!
Hate to say it but I saw snowflakes this morning in Caribou Maine. The type falling from the sky just to be clear, slightly frozen water but not ice. The other kind are everywhere.
Cut the rubber tarp I used for the stickered ash planks in half and used them on my newest extension. And took 1/2 day off to move all my Swedish torches and finally turn the old chicken coup run into a flower bed. Far from finished though.
