    I'm putting a cuppa coffee on it:
    there will be no winter here in CT 2022/2023
    we'll have maybe a few days of single digits coming
    no sub-zero
    and mostly 30* from here on out.
    Maybe the oddball snow storm, but nothing major, and certainly not lasting more than a day or two.
    As long as it's 50's during the day, we'll be having fires, and that I reckon will run late into spring.

    It's early still. February and March bring the biggest snow storms as a rule and last Feb. was frigid.

    I too remember grandpa saying that many times. It used to be that way but so far, November was worse than January here.
