certain versions of those are good , couple others are xxxx. Course anything that has to do with Lucas wiring is a royal PIA. I don't remember if those are positive ground- but for a lot of souls in the states that is just bassakwords to them . Course these are the same souls that add all kinds for fancy stuff to their rides and wonder why their batteries keep draining out.
It is yah, lots of people comment on the length of the chimney. The dealer suggested it to get it up and over the building, it was a good idea I think
Indeedy it is negative earth, I am pretty used to it now I think, some other vehicles I have had in the past were the same. Great tractor for the money, I will only upgrade when I win the lottery, so I suspect this guy will be with me for a long time!
The reason I ask is, our dealer said definitely no to a cap. I always thought a cap a smart idea. I think I am going to raise our chimney one length, in the summer without air conditioning, it is tough to close a window due to smoke smell.

cap on flue, yes, breaks up wind flowing over causing suction, deflects most rain/snow really do not want moisture draining down flue, leads to acid formation when combined with combustion residuals. The more or less standard caps that are a top hat style with a ring of screen are a PIA . Screen clogs up just because of condensation of flue gases. High moisture fuel compounds this. I prefer units with multiple rings stacked no screen, caps keep most birds and rodents out.
I see yes, that makes alot of sense on a house. This OWB has a big blower on it so it doesn't matter. From what I understand, a longer chimney will definitely help draw and yes, I imagine any cap will impede this. Good luck!
Took a soft Maple down that was damaged and always in the way of plowing anyway. There was some frost in the ground but not much. The L5030’s BH90 Backhoe did a nice job! The Echo CS680 Turned into firewood. Done and gone. Forgot to take pictures of the firewood. Maybe later.
chris Do you have any pics of the other kind of chimney cap? The one I have had the small holes around it and they would clog up. I cut a bunch of them out and that seems to help but it could be better.
I have been needing a loader for a while. I picked up a couple of cub 149's a while back and have been looking for a loader for one. Today I picked up a rikon lift out of a school bus. It looks just like a front end loader! A little cutting and welding and it should work perfect. It might have to wait till warm weather gets here though. I'm pretty excited about it. A full size tractor would be too big.

This is mine, I had it split for a stuck clutch this summer, so I took the time to paint the chassis and do the "working resto" Didn't get the tinwork done before cold weather arrived. 1965 Case 430 Draft-o-matic, w/ triple range. I need to get the loader back on, I built the forks to fit the front end loader or the 3 point. If anyone else has one let me know, I need a measurement on the 3 point. It doesn't seem to be lifting as high as I remember...but CRS...
Yanmar YT347. I’ve had it four or five years at this point. It’s been a great machine so far. Polaris Ranger XP. Knock on wood, zero issues so far. Was very hesitant on buying a Polaris based off of their track record. Has around 1600 miles on it so far.
I’m sure the yanmar is a fine tractor they used to build all the small John Deere tractors and still make all the engines for them, far as the polaris gos I know tons of people with no issues on the polaris wheelers and rangers. Mostly people that beat on them with no maintenance have issues but it you use within its limits and maintain it I’m sure it will be fine. Use low range when pulling a trailer or slow riding in woods. Even if it seems to go well in high it’s hard on belts and clutches.
