Yes i studied it and see what you mean vs the yellow chain raker. Wonder how and who figured this out?
I've had some old poulan and craftsman saws that had really big anti kick back links. You couldn't plunge cut at all.
Your not supposed to be able to plunge cut at All with a safety chain. The radius of the safety link is supposed to block the tooth from cutting.
Definitely some It would be impossible. You can with the PS3 stihl reduced kickback like Brad showed and I have currently on the saws.
Cant say ive ever plunge cut with a small saw. I dont do it that often and have been trying to do it more.
This is semi chisel reduced kickback Oregon chain in sugar maple. I think it has 93 in its description. Dropbox - VID_20220812_122253668~3.mp4 - Simplify your life 90px, thats the chain on that saw
So to get back on topic. I about cold siezed going out to the garage in my pajamas to get saw chain pics for Brad. Frost out already.

That's exactly what this free ms170 I have has. Original and Looks like its never been sharpened either.
PS3 is the exact same cutter and tie-straps as PS, only the drive link is different and that's really only in play as the chain travels around the nose. Highly preferable to the anti-kickback tie-strap styles. buZZsaw BRAD No Longer Available - Deal on Stihl 63PS (Picco Super) Chain | Firewood Hoarders Club Old thread on the stuff.
Heres a brand new loop of old Carlton safety chain with the huge anti kick back bumpers. There would be no bore/plung cutting with this.
