We got our son a Traeger Pellet Smoker for his 21st birthday. He smoked three racks of ribs the other day. Came out great. Sorry for the side pic, not sure what happened.
Been a busy summer here at the Overkill Ranch, done lots of cooking too. With winter fast approaching, I'll be putting up some posts and such. Here's some cooking pics from the summer.... Porterhouses and T-bones with some shrimp skewers over the keyhole... Local made cheddar jalapeño sausages and fresh corn-on-the-cob over the keyhole... Pizzas in the wood-fired oven...they are amazing! Calzones in the wood-fired oven are even better!! Looking forward to some cold weather cooking, plan on doing some ham and bean soup over the fire with WFO bread, and some giant sourdough soft pretzels in the WFO with some local made brews....
Scotty, you are developing some serious cooking skills with that wood oven. Those sausages on the Keyhole look extra tasty too.
We’re hanging in there and getting ready for the cooler weather. Thanks for asking. Getting fat is part of the equation. Haha! It’s hard to resist good food. Hope all is well with your family too.
Apologies to the Texans…I like beans in my chili. I did, however, use a mix of dried chilis (guajillo, pasilla, ancho and arbol) so there!
Wings on the weber tonight. Half seasoned with whiskey bent "bird" and the other half lanes bbq honey Sriracha. Tossed a few of them in franks when they were almost done and threw em back on the grill.
