Very likely a fuel pump relay...I've changed a ton of them on that vintage truck.
Its in the black electrical box under the hood on the drivers side...I don't recall which relay, I'm sure googlefoo will tell you that...but pop that box open and pull the relay(s) out, look for corrosion that needs cleaned up...sometimes just the act of pulling the relay and putting it back in will get it working again (for a bit) but often times you can hear it click when the key is turned on, but the fuel pump does not run...if the terminals are not corroded and the relay clicks with no fuel pump, relay is very very likely bad...used to be just about every parts store stocked those...

Just changed it out back from orileys. Still the same. I am not to great at electrical, Ill probably check the wires going into the relays tomorrow. Ill figure out how to jump the inertia switch and the tank selector switch to remove them from the equation. If all that looks good I guess I could take the rail pump off and hook it to a battery to see if it works. I'm hoping there isn't a short somewhere. Thanks for the help.

Hit the Ford truck forums...they can be super helpful in honing in on a problem like this.

I'm sure you already went through the fuses...can't remember if that one has 2 fuse boxes..1 under the dash and one under the hood...I think it does.
Maybe Warner would have some good pointers on this one too?

You can jumper the pump at the relay rather than taking it off the truck. Pin 30 to pin 87.

I’d also check the inertia switch button.
Look for power on the yellow wire at connection 30 of the relay. That’s your input and will divid the problem into two halves.
I’ll be happy to help also.
    Here’s this to help.[IMG]

It feels hotter than the blazes of hell out there. Last week's highs were in the low 60's and today the heat index is dang near 100. I tried doing a little framing on the lean-to a while ago and had so much sweat running in my eyes I had to quit.

Nice looking truck. If that truck lived in NY it would be totally rusted out or already gone to the crusher. I don’t know how you guys can keep Fords in good shape past 10 years old?

Thanks! My uncle had one of these when I was a kid.

That truck spent the first ten years of its life in Virginia and then in Tennessee up until about 8 years ago. Its got some rust on the wheel wells but the frame looks pretty darn good. I've put more time and money into it than its probably worth but I've learned a lot and the 4.9 straight six just won't quit.

My dad bought a ford truck in Washington state just as covid hit. He bought a plane ticket to Washington state almost to the Canadian border. Drove it all the way back home to central ohio. It cost him more in gas to drive the truck back than it cost to fly to Washington.

Its incredible how a vehicle will hold up without salt and brine on the road.
