Drill little hole in the roof and zip tie to the cage.

Could make 2 slits in the liner and use hose clamps for "hinges"...more durable than zip ties, especially white zip ties (no UV stability...use black ones outdoors)

I have generally paid $20-$25 each around here. I found a local (rural) school that buys oil and DEF for their bus garage. Bladders aren't good but the totes are free. I take all they will give me.

    What's wrong with the bladders?

The ones around me in MA were pricy. I ended up going about an hour away deep into CT to get 20 of the 330 gallon totes for $20/piece. It’s worth making a trip for larger quantities. Make a small day trip out of it to Philly and get lunch with your lady :)

I'd like to do that but everything on Craigslist are about $100.00 a piece! o_O The last 2 I bought were $75.00 each.

Sucks you don’t live closer to a rural/farming area. Folks if your trying to buy these off Craigslist and the like you are paying a middleman for them. Oftentimes around here they are free for the taking at large farms. They come with vast quantities of round up or similar herbicide/pesticides in them. Not food safe but plenty gooder for farwood.

We did our totes a bit different. Started making a door, use conduit couplings for the hinges and top catch. 0207221752a.jpg
Some we left the bladders in, used 3" hole saw for air flow holes 0207221903.jpg
Also made doors on these for chunk/shorts storage. 0207221905.jpg
The first shorts/chunk bin we did. Have since put the 3" holes in it as well 0127221046.jpg
We used the bladders for roofs as well, black zip ties thru 3/8" holes drilled in edges... 0115221312.jpg
I'm thinking of an idea of taking the bladders out, cut tops off, fasten the bladders to plastic pallets, and having double storage.

WeldrDave it might be worth asking at a landscape supply yard. Mulch dye is often delivered in ibc totes. It’ll be the season for that here pretty soon.

Very good idea on the folding door done with the couplings.
I might have one or two coming , I don't think they have bladders but not sure. going to keep this idea in mind.

We actually got 24. I bought 20-330's, and I bought 4-275's for my brother for helping me. He has a smaller tractor and wanted the smaller totes.

We went with a 1 ton dump that has a 9' x 6.5' or so bed, and a 20' x 8' or so tag along trailer. I also took my little Frontier with 5' x 10' trailer.

The place I bought them offered a discount if you bought at least 20. It was worth it to me to figure a way to get 20+

    1 tote was $50 each

5 or more was $35 each

20 or more was $20 each

I like the little dump truck. I got it in my head that I need one similar. I could probably round up 100 totes and make a trade

Those 3" holes are nice. I went with the traditional 4,856 1/2" holes per tote....only because I knew I was gonna store kindling in there and I didn't want any of it escaping!

Btw I believe those bladders need to be supported by the cages. They will burst if filled with anything other than feathers. When I took them out to cut the tops off......they were ok.......but once I cut the top off the whole thing started wobbling all over the place and lost all of its eagle powers (movie reference anyone?).

Thanks, just remember to cut the bottom and top horizontal bars about 1" away from vertical bars, so coupling will have something to set on.

This guy, Phil Anderson on FB, has been using just the bladders. I might just try a couple. FB_IMG_1645795803539.jpg
