It’s been standing dead for 3yrs and splits are going to be single row in the sunniest hot location of my yard. Do you think it won’t be ready? I can push it out 2 or 5 years if I have to. I’ll check a piece with the mm today and post up current level.

Your truck looks real close from that angle!

Would the tree have reached it, had it fallen that way?

Staying away from firewood making today, so I tore into the 272 for a look. I could hear a muffler bolt had come loose and I wanted to look at the piston to rule that out as the culprit of bog under load. To my relief the piston and cylinder looked good. When I went to disconnect the plug wire discovered the plug was loose. Hopefully that was the cause of hard start and no power in cut.
One bolt on top right would not come out of muffler bracket. It seems the nut inside muffler broke away. This is the $15 china muffler and bracket.

Also have the carb kit ordered if it’s still not running right.

My youngest is going to her first prom tonight and no prom is complete without pics at a woodpile. Her look cracked me up.

Have I ever told you how much I hate working in the rain. Me and the emergency response 261 and backhoe had it cleared in no time.

Some pics of a big chunk stash that is not in my yard. Maybe haul some home tomorrow while the ground is still firm.

Is there a resolution or zoom limit on pictures?
I get a security warning on some. It seems to be anything that I zoom in.

Yes, there is a size limit. Not zoom but over all size. I'm not exactly sure what it is but if I use my works phone for pics, they exceed that limit.

Got a little bit done today. This white oak has been laying in the yard so long it’s growing fungus. A lot of it is knotty, so the extra seasoning helps when splitting.

Living the dream albeit rather slowly. Made another pile of mostly straight white oak sticks.

Oak is such a pleasure to split. Usually only a few inches with the wedge and pop. :dex:

It’s going to be a struggle to fit in some personal hoarding time over the next couple days. :stacker:

I agree. I needed a little break though. We'll see how long I can stay away, lol.
