Looks even better when stacked for a 3yr nap. The stack in the back and the left side of the front rack, are all new red oak splits. The right side of the front rack, is some white oak I've been using up.
I was able to spend some time doing stuff for me/us. Mrs MikeInMa commented about the yard looking like "NH". I take that as a compliment, but she doesn't. So, I moved the splits made a few days ago, and attacked what was left Any logs/limbs I had, were cut. Mostly red oak on the right, above. The elm rounds to the left. I used both the 350 and 435. The 350 needs a 10 minute warning before it fires up. So, I "try" to start it, then put it aside. I fire up the 435 and do some cutting. Then I try the 350 and it fires up.
Wish you were close enough I could help w/ that. Definitely not normal. Does it smell or appear flooded at first?
The local chainsaw whisperer, M2theB , has laid hands on it and declared it could benefit from a carb rebuild/replace. I like the saw, the more I use it. There is the scent of fuel at startup. In the past, I've had to hold the throttle trigger while starting. That saw has a bit of a story - A gifted husqvarna 350
I remember that and chimed in several times. I love these saws. They are super light and have good power. Hate to see ya struggle w/ it.
Who's tired of this thread? I identified a spot for the elm rounds to age. I'm calling that area, ElmHaven. While I had my yard cart out, I split some more red oak and some red maple. We got just 1/2 inches of fluffy snow, overnight. Nice weather for wooding!
Mike's the man! One of the many great folks ive met from FHC! He's worked on a few of mine (and a friends) saws
Not me! Always like to see what you're working on. We got 2" plus of the white stuff here. Kinda POed as the local news station (New Haven) said we'd get NONE! Going splitting later...hydro!
