Bear in mind that those leak detectors are not always accurate, should be, but sometimes false negatives happen
I've had mixed results with them

That’s it. Just got back from town. Make sure you don’t suck up any anti freeze or that batch needs to be dumped and refilled with new.

I did the pressure test and i didnt lose any pressure. I took the cah for a spin after running it a little while, no overheat, cabin had heat but then stopped. I'm sure it wouldve overheated if i kept going

Try running engine with the pressure gauge on without any pressure, watch the gauge needle closely and see if it twitches, may not, but see if it builds pressure quickly
Also, must be done on cool engine with all air purged to give accurate info

    Does the cap test good?
Generally the heat in the cab goes away from an air lock in the heater core,

Engine was cold.... really cold. I will try that method and report my results.

The Subaru dealer didn't have one when i called. I am planning on ordering one as well as an oem thermostat. I still need to research the k&w goop

Would the engine overheat with a heater core block? Can i disconnect the hoses going through the firewall and flush with a garden hose or no?

I've read the directions as well as a mechanic's suggested way to use the stuff. Reviews say 80% of the time it works

That’s the stuff right there. Just time consuming, mostly in the house drinking beer and waiting for it to set. Drain, remove t-stat, flush fill with h20 and sealer run to temp and let sit 24 hours or something. Drain, fill, install t-stat, and run to temp. Should be good to go. Possibly need a second dose but rarely.
