Thank you so much for the detailed explanation of the racks! The information you shared is a great help to me understanding how they are built! Thank you Thank you once again!

Oh, so slow! When winter came it really came to stay. This Spring I split and stacked 5 cord, and the friend I occasionally hire showed up and split another 5ish this weekend. I’ve spaced the stacks so the tractor mower fits in between, and did a first pass around these and all the other stacks with the string trimmer.

Wow that is a total of 10 cord. That is a lot of wood.

Do you have any access to a drone? Would be neat to have an aireal picture of the stacks!

I have a friend with one, and should encourage him to come practice here! Actually, in true FWH style, you are nudging me towards a purchase - I would love to have one myself!

The loggers have the start to a 100-cord pile about 400 feet away from here. The trucker that delivered this load will haul most of that pile away. “Buying” this load was a matter of timing (needed to get some stacked and drying since we had no time commitment on the logging job).

Current logging job in the foreground, this thread’s pile in the background.
