Hopefully many more memories to come. Great that you snuck in the cupcakes and chocolate milk.

It seems simple, but when your on the mountain for 10 days and everything you have is in a pack on your back. Puts into perspective the difficulty of packing extra weight for 40-60 miles and multiple days before consuming.

Apparently if I had been up at 2:00 AM last night, there were northern lights displaying their beauty over the north end of Vancouver Island.

Those views never get old. Thanks for sharing with those of us too far south to enjoy them in person!

For your viewing from last night, these last few nights have been quite the light show on my commute into work. 44D536F0-9035-4BBE-86B8-41B089C94361.jpeg 213D10D5-A30C-4CAB-A36D-B916C469E8FB.jpeg 5D04D422-0A62-4A14-919F-0F39A02CE5D3.jpeg 5B632629-BEF3-4CD1-84FF-5CA851F1C7FE.jpeg 3F36A417-0B7E-41D3-A85B-C5335DE6294C.jpeg 8882752C-7697-4EE8-9D39-01E99C320CE3.jpeg

Great pics Rope, amazing that you can capture them...I'm assuming you're taking the pics with your phone? I know usually when I take a pic of a sunrise or sunset with my phone, the colors in the pic do not show up any where near as vibrant....so I can only imagine what you're seeing in real life.

Found this site today, seems interesting. Wonder if you were to cross reference it with when you get the light show, if it's actually good at predicting...?

We use the Aurora forecast the the University of Alaska-Fairbanks does. They have a big program and part of it is the forecast.
