A little bit of orange paint will take care of the message on the side of the crate :D

Looks like a lot of stuff left to split too! I dig how the 4 way wedge can completely fall out of the way without having to take it off. Very nice feature. Beautiful machine:yes: I’m sure it was worth the wait. When I’m done using mine, I just use my blower on it and it takes care of nearly all the dust, bark, and wood chips. Can’t wait to hear more about how you like it

How does the stroke limiter work? Does it move the valve to centre when it returns?

Having a 30" stroke would really increase cycle time. So there is a plate that just stops the push plate from going all the way and it kicks out just like it would if it made the full circuit. DSCF0020.JPG

Why would you run any "toy" purchase past the wife?

exactly. One could make a provision similar to this on most splitters, however, most have a ~24" stroke and if cutting 20" firewood you won't be saving much. If you cut your wood 16" on the other hand........

That is one of if not the best well thought out splitters I have seen. Lost of high end wood processor features on that machine. Well done! As I age I see something like that in my future.

Also curious, what size pump does it have? I see it looks like it has a GX390 on it, which is the same engine I have on my power washer. I believe it's rated at 13hp.

You are correct it wouldn't save much on a 24" cylinder, but this is a 30" for more flexibility. In you example saving 4" isn't much, but 10" in both directions adds up.
