They were but husqvarna made those stickers for some reason. They may not have put saws like that so as not to confuse the 372 die hards.

The 74.6cc 372XPWs came out right around the time HVA switched production of the cut-off saws to Partner who wanted to redesign them. It is rumored that HVA had about 3 years production worth of parts for the 375K which included cylinders and pistons viola the original XPW. Probably also had badging in process for the 'K' and switched it to 'XP'.

That's the way I understand it as well. They never had a new saw on the shelf with that sticker, but they were available due to the cut-off saws.

It is a new starter, which do not come with any badging, I had several of the 375XP stickers in stock so used one.

    Saw passed the vac/pressure test.

Clutch side of the saw is complete new clutch, rim and bearing, Cylinder/piston and intake are complete, used a new Walbro 12-1(B) carb. Still waiting on a few small plastic parts from HVA, brake flag, air conductor to arrive.

Will post some currect pics later today.

Next poll will be for top handle and muffler. Right now there is an AM stock top exit muffler on it now so I can get it running correctly.

I am toying with the idea of offering three choices for top handle:
    1) OEM Half Wrap around $45
    2) OEM Full Wrap around $115
    and to keep the total cost within reason;
    3) AM (Hyway) half wrap around $22

I have used the Hyway top handles many times without incident.

As far as mufflers go, also three choices:
    1) OEM unmodified $78
    2) AM (Hyway) unmodified $22
    3) AM (Hyway) Dual port $22 plus labor to modify

Just cannot see the value in cutting and welding on an $80 factory muffler.

I have a set of new OEM standard inner and outer dogs that will come with the saw.

Since there was so much discussion on the starter badge, I could replace the starter with another new OEM starter with the 372XP badge.

Well, we will see if it generates any interest when put up for sale. Component parts so far are right at $575, labor will not exceed $200. So that is why I have been thinking about how I might keep cost under control.

It is alive and well! Last of the parts showed up this afternoon. Enough at least to start the saw. Idling at 2700 set way rich right now on the top end (11,800). Now to let it idle through a tank of fuel. I would like to put up a video but don't have a video camera or a PB acct. But I have an idea to try!

OK so I made a brief movie using my android tablet but cannot upload it. So perhaps there is someone out there that can do that for me. Or I can put it on SkyDrive and let you download it.
