Kubota L39. My next work partner.

Mentioned this over in the L48 thread.......

Sold the L48 with my attachments and got all my money back out of everything. There is a market out there for used equipment.

I didn’t owe anywhere near what I sold it for and wanted to free up that money to pay for some additional inside construction work on the house we decided to have done. I wanted to pay the contractor in cash and not owe him anything.

Then I went and found a little nicer machine.

Amazing what a wire brush in a drill will do with some muscle work. My painting needs some work, but that will come along with experience. The last thing will be a Quick Attach plate mounted to it that should arrive tomorrow or Sunday. I hope. Retired neighbor will weld it on for me. Might have him put an extension on each end as well. We’ll see. Then a little touch up here and there with paint. I missed a few spots.

 

What are the wheel adapter's for?

 

Wheel spacers, no? For a wider tire/stance?

 

Wheel spacers. Yes. These are two inch rear wheel spacers made by Bro-Tek specifically for the Kubota L39. They make them specific for many models. So the rear wheel on each side will move out 2”. Making room for tire chains. Which are on their way. The Kubota TLB series does not have enough space between the wheel/tires and the backhoe frame. So this solves the problem and also gives the tractor a wider stance. The chains make a HUGE difference in all kinds of conditions. Especially helpful on the industrial R4 tires.

 

Do you have a front mount snow blower for it also?

You could try it out here if you do (if we ever get any snow)

 

No. We do not get half the snow here that we use to get when I was a kid. A plow is plenty. Just move the banks back with the bucket if it starts to get piled up and taking up too much room.

 

Good deal on this heavy duty blade. It started out at $600, then went to $500, then went to $300. I grabbed it then. Heavy duty John Deere 7’.

A wider stance and plenty of room for chains now.

 

Not to be "that guy" Gasifier , but you may wanna have the welder fix that ripped out hole for the angle pin too. Blade looks good!

 

Yes. That will be done when Q.A. plate gets welded on. That came today and he will do the job tomorrow. I’ll be working. Great to have a retired neighbor who knows how to weld and is a machinist!

 

Now the L39 is ready....

I may have a little adjusting to do yet.

A little work moving some dirt to a low spot in a section of trail. And pulling this tree up finishing off what the wind storm did.


Once out I had to pull it backing up with it chained to the loader bucket. It was too heavy pulling it up and dragging with the backhoe as the front wheels started coming up.

 

I took all the three point hitch equipment off and out of storage areas on tractor a while back and had to spray everything with lubricant to free up the round link swivels. Then put a little oil on each one and worked them all. I don’t think they had ever been used. That will change now.
