Grabbed up one more today. Maybe my last. There’s still some scrappy BL left and some nice big logs. The big logs are hidden behind a HUGE maple trunk and some pine. Ugly trunk that is. To get the BL out I’d have to move that big ugly maple and pine into their driveway. I offered to cut up that maple to make it easier for them to move. They said ok but I failed to mention by the time I’m done it’s going to be in their driveway I’ll send a message and see what they say. Both teachers conducting classes from home. Don’t want to disturb them or do any major sawing without the ok. I could leave them but they are the nicest pieces out of the bunch. Lot of good wood buried in that last pile.
Winch and a tong. Here’s a pic in the middle of the process. First step lift First end of log onto trailer. Move tong down log and hoist second end up which will pull it onto trailer. Rinse and repeat. In the pic I’m going too middle of the log. Sometimes I’ll take smaller steps for safety. Much depends on the log, surroundings and my mood like this photo with all the extra tripping hazards and empty trailer it pays to take a little time. If I were to pull from the rear of the log it’s easy for the log to spin sideways. I’m too gimpy to get out of the way in time LOL
The reason I don’t go to the casinos is because I’m such a good guesser LOL Would hope I’m at 2 - 2.5 cord.
