Closed a week ago. I know I should clean it now, but I bet I'll be cleaning it in the fall!

    Hello
Just got a nice little cleaning tool for a deep cleaning.
It works great on BBQ grill grates, Chrome wheels and oil and greasy stuff like mower engines and spark plugs. :) Also cleans masonry. :)
That is what they used to clean the Statue of Liberty with damaging her skin. :)

Shut ours down around 2 weeks ago.

Furnace crapped out so I fixed it from furnace parts from the trailer furnace.

Ran for 2 days and quit again.

Replaced the controller and put original transformer back in.. been running since.
    :)

    Now.. that chimney..

OK, I'll bite...what is that exactly?

Shut down the wood furnace for the summer here a week or two ago...took it all part for a good cleaning and some preventative maintenance...gonna get a bag of "crystal" kitty litter to put in the firebox for the summer too...it acts as a desiccant.

Shut the stove down for the season today.Did a good cleaning and blocked off all air inlets.3 1/4 tons of North Country softwood burned. They burn OK but lots of fines and long pellets.I'll try something else next year if the mutant virus doesn't get me.

Gave both stoves a good cleaning on May 17, and shut down the Cellar Dweller. Got pipes disconnected/plugged while the humidity was low. Yesterday I put the window A/C in, so decided the P43 is down for the summer too. It only ran a couple of very short cycles at the beginning of last week and decided to leave it the way it is - did disconnect/plug pipes.

Do you put damp rid in the cellar dweller for the summer?
I cut 2 holes in the house for my AC units and put sleeves in the wall. Now I only have to slide them out to replace them. See pics
Air Conditioner Woes - replacing 25 year old Unit look at the AC wall outlet it was in!!!

Don't use damp rid. I usually use fogging oil, but didn't this year. Using the good old method of balling up newspaper and placed it in the firebox and ash pan.

I just got the window A/C last summer during the brutal heat wave toward the end of summer. Only reason I'm putting it in now is because I am working from home and it would be too hot with all the electronics and lighting that I have to use for 10-12 hours a day. If I was making the trek to work, I wouldn't bother at this point. Not making anything permanent as the unit hangs over the ramp to the back door - don't need it there when I am shoveling the roof dumpage off of it.

Yesterday I cleaned up the soot from the stove this winter on my walkway with my new soda blaster. :)
