A quick screenshot from the web. When I get back to the shop I'll take a picture of mine.

Man I never catch a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My neighbor is a retired electrician and he installed the new 230 volt receptacle this morning. He said he has a plasma and TIG set up he will sell cheap.:headbang::startled::hair::picard:

No details yet, in for a penny, in for a pound.

So one is a standard cup used for Tig welding and the other because of shape and size is called a gas lens.

The next time I am at the welding store like Air Gas I will have to check into that. I can see having a steady stream of argon flowing at the part could cut down on oxidation.

So I was confused by the terminology thinking that a cup or nozzle used at the end of the torch was the same thing as a gas lens. Ok Thanks.

What you got is a nice piece of equipment and I would not be concerned over what if. Besides if that plasma and Tig is one of those Chinese combination deals you are better off with the Hobart.

I thought Hobart was owned by Miller. Anyone else here know.

This guy owned the business, he wouldn't buy cheap stuff. He wasn't sure if the tank is owned or leased yet, but it sounds like a 125 CF for the TIG.

Hobart and Miller are owned by ITW, Illnois Tool Works and are assembled in Appleton WI.

So here's a pic I laid out showing 2 #6 cups next to each other. The top is standard and the bottom is a gas lens, but both are still the same size. The bottom one shows the diffuser with the screen stack.
    Hope this helps.

Sounds great to me. They'd be a great addition to the welder you just bought.

The confuser is getting ready to go dead but, look up Weldmonger.com and welding tips and tricks on youtube for gas lens info & back-gassing.
