I'd love to .... wonder what the post office charges a pound these days :D

I work on a 4-5 lane main artery that runs through 4 cities, we're about 5 doors away from a border. Had a couple plow trucks from the next city turn around in our lot, and looking west the road was done half decent. Of course I had to go east and although it was better than when I went in, the road was still pretty bad several hours after the storm ended. Few inches of slush in places. Of course, a couple side streets were almost bare [IMG] Nearest populated coastal island had its ferry service shut down. The storm pretty much missed the western half of NFLD, which usually gets much worse weather than us if anything. If I didn't have to work it would seem like a good time for a multi day road trip.

get some supper now and go shovel out a community center (second job). Well, it pays.

The 310J and I completed some outside work again today. Hopefully continue tomorrow. Ground is still soft with these abnormal temperatures. :picard:But I am still able to get things done. Shoveled snow twice today. Once this morning and once this afternoon in different location. Now it’s time to rest!

Saves got extended family there. The worst part according to them is 1 o'clock above the island (Tasmania). They pay close attention as a son/brother was killed when a burned tree collapsed on him about 15 years ago working for fire service

Stopped and got a load of short cut trunk pieces for a scrounge on my way home. They were supposed to be maple of some sort. I figured Norway maple.

    Nope. Honey locust.

I got it home and didn't really think about it. U unloaded the trailer, and saw the unmistakable bark. Then it occurred to me why these pieces were so stinking heavy.

Oh yeah. That's why. I'll have to get inventive to split these so I can easily load the stove when they are ready, since they are short. I'll figure it out.

I'll post a pic tomorrow. I ran out of daylight today. It's probably less than a face cord, but I'll take it.

Got the bandsaw parts installed and everything tuned up. New tires, thrust bearings, blade, blade guides, tension spring, and linked belt. Easy job and nothing broke. Cuts amazing now. I love old cast iron tools.

Wild wind and rain this morning. No snow day but for some students, their school ferry might not be running this morning because of the wind. Off to work for me this morning.

A while back I delivered a full Rio load of laminate flooring to dad and held on to some extra in case he ended up needing it. Now he thinks it wouldn't suit his house (I do agree) and won't be using it.

looks like I'm making 2 trips to the dump.

Must be feeling better if you have energy to do that. Still take it easy or you will be feeling like cr** again. Good to know you are doing better.

Podsibly but chopping up any amount of it creates a poisonous atmosphere. Plus I have so many pallet scraps and other kindling it's just not worth the time.
