Surprise me that there is no indication of a spring house ever being here. There are two sides made from the stone and hill around it. Only needs to build two walls and a roof.
There are old foundations nearby and I have a nineteenth century grave yard near too.

Snowiest 5th of January in 60+ years. A foot or so down total now. City was shut down for the morning, my work opens at 1 but schools will remain closed.

roads still look white, hope I can get to work. It's 10:45 here now

No new snow here this morning. Sounds like everything is melting. I have to go to work this morning so I am up earlier than I have been for the last two weeks. No snow day for me.

Some recent studies have suggested that a cup of coffee every morning can help stave off the effects of Alzheimer's. Coffee can reduce the levels of beta amyloid, a destructive protein commonly found in the brains of people with Alzheimer’s, by as much as 50%.

Another study completed in 2014 found that people who drank more than three cups of coffee daily were less likely to develop Alzheimer’s, but only in the short term. Yet another study, one completed in 2012, found that drinking three cups a day could slow or stop the transition from mild cognitive impairment to dementia. Researchers believe that caffeine and coffee may delay the onset of symptoms, thus delaying a diagnosis.

Google this and read up on it. Perhaps some may find it helpful. May not hurt though to try and introduce some coffee to your morning routine!

Neighbor came and fell a tree just across the line from us. He cut it into logs so makes me wonder if maybe he is going to do come cabinet work again. He has not done any for many years because of his physical condition. Maybe he is feeling better? I hope so.

All this talk about football and playoffs and championships. I realized today that I must be completely broken from football. I never even thought about bowl games until someone mentioned one of them. Then last night I was reminded that the playoffs have started. Hum... I don't even know which teams are in it this year.

Then there is the Detroit Lions. Perhaps the team that is laughed at more than any other. Their last championship game was won over 60 years ago; in 1957. That was before the Super Bowl was even thought about. So, how many playoff games have they ever won? I believe it is a total of 1. Not sure how many playoff games they've ever played. I really do not understand how the team can consistently be so bad year after year. I don't even know any of the players any more. No interest here.

Caffeine is the reason, per sources on Google and the news yesterday.

You can get caffeine from several sources. They don't all have to be brought to you by the Juan Valdez Cartel.
