Another video, up close and personal :) I was pulling chunks off the tail gate of the 1 ton parked nearby.

It actually had a hard life formerly. I had it sent back to the manufacturer for a maintenance check and Andrew Easton fixed it up right nice. No charge too!

What is the height of the beam on that bad boy? Or about how tall are you Jim? Height of a horizontal splitter is a very important question that i do not always see posted!!

I'm 6ft tall. Hands by my sides, its the same height at the beam and working area of the cradle. I put a tape measure to the beam the ground, about 25". Its a comfortable height. Any specific questions you might have you could always ask the builder, Andrew Easton. He's very helpful.

That seems low. Is that to bottom of beam?

Beam is 25". Cradle that holds the block f wood puts the working height to about 30-32"

How's your eastonmade 12 22 holding up. I order 1 to being built now. Anything you wish you did different.
I have the 6way and boxwedge with pull back arm coming. Thanks for input

Its held up well. Split everything I've ever put on it. I find myself using the 4 way wedge mostly all the time. The box wedge is neat but it does produce a bit more waste for the type wood I split.

I have noticed on the videos the 4 way will even split big pieces much easier. Just handle it more times. I have 1551e medium indoor wood furnace so if I can get it through the front door it goes in. I really like those big chunks so it will go all day while we are at work. My parents have a small stove and don't like the bark mess. So I figured I will load them up with the nice no bark squares from boxwedge and I Will burn all the rest. I don't mind getting a bunch of small pieces cause usually by the time I get home its down to a bed of hot coals. Through some in and some nice chunks on top and takes right back off again.
