"Duct Tape"...............The Handyman's Secret Weapon......................... Remember.............If its seized......WD-40, If its loose......Duct Tape.
Looks like the plate is from Ontario. Trailer lights wiring need some repair too. (need tape) Splitter looks home made. You move & get a new "NON VERTICAL " splitter ? But duct tape can repair almost anything & make it work again
A bungee cord would of been more appropriate for a trailer hitch application. the stress of the hitch rotating will cause premature wear and early failure of the duct tape, less than 20 cycles, whereas a bungee cord would survive in excess of 300 cycles. now you could wrap the bungee cord with duct tape to stop excess stretching which may cause dehitching of the hitching mechanism. if dehitching was to occur the splitter could go vertical at which time backwoods savage would grab his milk crate and sit down to start splitting rounds. safety first.
That's funny as chit sav as that's my truck 4-5 years ago and was posted as a redneck hook-up. Gimmie a minute and will go get a pic.
Still pouring out but had to show ya's. Upon further review that splitter was my buddy's down the the road and got mine the next year so its more like 8 years ago.
didn't notice the Canadian plates in the original picture. Please disregard my previous observation as north of the border all the parameters of duct tape change.
