Went back to a site I cut in the spring but lost access to because of construction. No wood left behind! About three cords of Hackberry for some shoulder wood in October. Been down about a year, and then cut in spring, so will put it to use before it gets any lighter. Hack1.jpeg Hack2.jpeg

Looking at the pics, I was wondering. Doesn't sound like it's been down long

I've never had any hackberry, but I've had plenty of sweetgum and it's the same way. Split, it's even worse. That's one wood that needs to be top covered eventually if you plan on keeping it more than 8 months
