Eating cucs and summer squash. Tomatoes are slow to set, but I was late with them. Have a couple plants over 5 ft tall. Green tomatoes will be August before I have red fruit. Peppers are nearly ready. Need to check the beans, I think they will be ready in a day or two. Basketball size pumpkins are growing (I started them in the greenhouse early). chard is ready to start picking. Broccoli is starting to head up. Eggplant is only in bloom. I was really late with them. Onions are poor. (as usual for me) . I have the weeds in good control. I bought a new hoe and put a sharp edge on it. Cuts right through the surface and shaves off the weeds really good. I sit on a little cart and move around that way.

    Pretty much spot on.

    "Eliminate the food"

    Issue is exactly that too.

Unfortunately I have a tenant that loves the little birds and has several bird feeders in the yard.

The birds scatter the seed from the feeders and this attracts the squirrels.

Relocating squirrels is an easy solution in this case.

I am not going to forbid the feeding of the birds as the gal loves them

Also she pays her rent on time and takes good care of the place.

Finding top notch tenants is a big chore that I have been through before and it ended poorly, I am not going to cause a rift over a few critters.

The other option was to kill them, and I am not going there.

We have houses within 1/2 mile in almost all directions, plus horses in pastures in several places which makes shooting a risky business under ideal conditions.

    Just a nuisance issue.

So far we have moved over a dozen critters.

This year they are everywhere and in great numbers.

    Ahhh well.
