Has anyone purchased an axe from them since they were bought by the Amish family that has returned to manufacturing entirely American made axes? Quality? I'm wanting to pull the trigger on the hudson bay camp axe.

We do not have hickory in Maine so I cannot say much about the ax you like, but I have sold Snow and Nealley a lot of Ash Logs and they are very particular on what they buy for Ash Logs to be used as ax handles. I know a lot happens in the mill, but I can say they have the best possible logs on the front of the mill, and that says a lot about what occurs when they come out. (They only buy the best ash logs)

Thanks for the reply. That's good to know they have a high standard in your dealings with them. I'm going to pick one up.

I have a Snow and Nealley hatchet I got back in 2015, not sure who the owners were back then. I'm no expert on blades, but it works better than the $15 hardware store hatchet I have. I'm particularly happy with how balanced it feels when handling it.
