I cooked it, it turned to Mush, I will eat it anyway, not going to throw it out it still taste pretty good
I put a fresh coat of Stove Bright Metallic Black on my new-to-me Drolet 1400i this spring and currently it awaits its install. A few weeks after the coat of new paint, I had some spots that totally lifted, down to bare metal. The weird thing is that none of those spots had anything wrong previously. This was supposed to be just a "freshen up" coat. I was told that Drolet uses Stove Bright at the factory so I wouldn't think there would be an issue. Anyways, hope yours works better than mine. And looking forward to the Chikn soop!
Decided to put the deck on today, and took a couple pics. They didn't come out real well, but I think you get the idea.
Well, I do have some leftovers....... Next time, I'll know not to use armored vehicle steel. I won't actually, too much other stuff to do.
I used the regular hair dryer at first. Better but not great. Then skipped the HD blower and bought a larger universal blower from amazon. Then added a snap disc to cycle the blower as needed to not overcool the stove. It cycles the blower at the beginning and end of a fuel load.
I wrote a thread about the blower. Would link here but am on a mobile device for a few days. The combination of convection deck and super blower is superb for the nc30.
Well, if you do, at least you'll know it can handle the weight. Lord, I apologize, but I couldn't help mahself.
