    Course the article was from 1982 - so what might have been available then is very questionable now. I did find one company that sells various converters for wood stoves - not for specific stove models- Integrating externally into an existing non cat stove system would be a challenge not saying it can not done

    I'm sorry for my late reply. I have an older stove stored in my shed that I am considering doing this. I think I can get most of the parts I would need from eBay. There are catalyst retrofits available, but I'm all about cheap! LOL

    On one of the forums just read about a firm developing something along these lines - cat at stove flue exit - heat exchange system as part of flue.
