I've never seen that brand before but I have had a few like it in the past. They do work pretty well, and it doubles as a source of entertainment too. The only thing I could warn a new owner of is the on/off button. It just presses down to use and it returns to the up position when your done. If you press too hard it will break a piece of plastic inside and you'll have to do a repair if it breaks. A lot of people have those superman grips when they are in 'fly killing' action.

My manually operated one works quite well.
They call me "The Fly Killer".
Anyone remember the old movie "The Fly"?

1958, Vincent Price was young. :)
See Trailer -- also 1959, Return of the Fly!

The 1986 version of The Fly starring Jeff GoldBloom did not seem that good even though it was more modern and in color. :-(

A few more of those and get some friends together and you will have a "swat" team.

    I know, pretty bad.

I use mine to get carpenter bees. It doesnt kill them but it stuns them enough for me to go and stomp on them. It will take care of flies and other small critters very good, but be careful it does pack a punch and mine seems to have some sort of residual charge on it Ive been shocked from it without pushing the button.

I converted a bug zapper into a fly zapper recently. If it works good Ill start a tread. Very few flies recently, but that is a good thing.

Imma start using the shotgun on the skeeters.
They seem to like me quite a bit this year and are large.
I swear they'd suck a gallon of blood outta me if I let 'em.

I don't know about these new electronic swatters but flies jump backwards (perhaps to escape frogs?) when they take off; the trick is to aim behind them a bit with the swatter (non electronic ones) and you will miss fewer of them.
