He's a true pig......always on the lookout and got his fill first! Can't wait to see what you think of them.
Just grabbed 12 bags thanks to the tip from ttdberg !! Without it I would never have known with the clueless associate I talked to today. They will be on tap after I finish the Okies Platinums and Freedom Fuel. Edit: These came in maybe the strongest bags I have ever seen
I went to get some today and all bags on the open pallet had water damage. What a waste of 15 or so bags.
Thanks for your input, I will check that out. The bags themselves seem extremely strong. Would be kinda funny if they split easy.
Agreed, these are some of the most durable bags I have seen, the plastic is super thick. I am not having a great experience with these pellets, though. The pellets are tiny with lots of broken up pieces, to the point of being borderline "large fines" so to speak. Extreme amount of fly ash, the pellets jump out of the pot well before they are completely burned. Their advertised ash / BTU specs are on par with Vermonts, however they are not in the same league IMO. Ash output is very low, as advertised, but I'm getting poor heat value from them. Has anyone else had this experience? Based on what I have seen burning just a couple bags, I would not buy these again. Have to wonder if I am a victim of batch variance AGAIN.
I had the same...very low ash but lower BTU also. I'd be curious as to other peoples' experience too.
12 bags of the AWF softies in the shed, but it's gotta get cold first. High of 50 today, and I'm NOT complaining. I'll gladly wait longer to test out a few new pellets.
Same thing happens with my stove. It looks like a fireworks display in there.Pellet particles flying everywhere.
I bought a ton of the AWFs about a month ago at the local Depot. I've been happy with them; great heat output at a good price. These put out the same (if not slightly betterheat) than the Okie Golds I'm also burning. $60 cheaper a ton vs the Okies.
