Nor'easter coming Wed thru early Fri. Actual track still uncertain. Over on the NH Reddit, TheCloudBoy (runs a forecasting company) said yesterday there is a 425 mile difference between the western-most and eastern-most track possibilities from all the models. He said then if he had to pick going by the info he had, it would track across SE MA before turning ENE towards Nova Scotia. Significant snow for a lot of NH and strong winds.

I'll be running the generator and snowblower today to prepare. Usually that means it'll turn to rain here and the power won't go out.

Looks like we are in for it again. It will be July before our standby generator gets installed. Meanwhile, I have two portable generators that will do OK, but I depend on my son to run them. I am useless when it comes to doing anything that requires balance, lifting, etc. This whole winter has been very odd, and this late snowstorm is just more thing to add to the oddity.

I haven't checked Cloudboy for a while since he seemed to have dropped from weather before the last storm (I do see he finally did post about that storm just a few hours before it hit). I just checked and see this nice little tidbit for what's upcoming (I'm in Hillsboro).

Not what I was hoping for, but I've seen this bad or worse at end of April before, so not totally unexpected.

I'm still in the 12-16" (WMUR) or 16-24" (Cloudboy) areas - hoping my lower elevation keeps me on the lower side.

we are in the 12 to 18 inches of snow forecast. So long as my roof doesn't fall in, it doesn't matter to me how much we get. Sun is high this time of year and next week is forecasted to be warmer. That being said, power outages make for a rough time esp. when my internet is down. Cell phone does help in that regard.

Happy Birthday, your present must be a snow storm.

Eh, it's another day to me. My mother did all the work 62 years ago, I'm sure my entire contribution was complaining and crying:D.

Mother Nature is going all out for me on decorating, although she started the party a bit on the late side. Started with a whole bunch of sleet and now covered by a bunch of snow. Town plow went by about an hour ago.

Thank you for the Birthday wishes everyone!

Got woken up around 5am by some extremely vivid lightning. Maybe 3 inches of snow so far, currently a light freezing mist-like precip falling, temp right at 32, wind around 20mph, gusts to 45. Power has stayed on, fiber internet up.

Ah spoke too soon, power just went out. Unitil outage map shows half of Kingston w/o power. Guess I get to use the generator after all.
