    Just saying hi.

I'm fairly new to pellet stoves - only starting using them last year when we bought a house with an old clunky Kozi 100 installed way at the far end of the house that no one uses. Purchased a p61a w/OAK in Feb 2014 and installed it on the other end of house where the people and dogs hang out...made a HUGE difference :)
For pellets we ued a combo of somersets (4tons) and a mish mash of pellets stuff to get us through our first heating season.

I fully expected to have all my pellets purchased early this year but with a surgery, house repairs, dog illnesses - pellets ended up being at the low end of priority list. Now I'm regretting it, but it's a lesson learned, that's for sure :)

I just spend the past hour or so trolling around reading the posts. There's a ton of great info here...just wanted to say hi.

A beverage? Well, if you insist....

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am sure I will have a bunch of questions and will learn a lot in the months to come. Right now, I'm focused on finding some pellets. A bit late in the game but I'll figure it out :)

Ha! that made me laugh out loud. Maybe the information would have been cheaper in the spring?

Thanks for the welcome...oh, since I'll be sticking around, I should mention, I'm not a sir! ;)

Yeah, cheaper in the spring, or we might just run out of information completely!!! No need to mention it Ma'am. I shouldn't have been so presumptuous!!

If you are like me and waited too long, you'll just have to wait till the info replenishes. *sigh*

And please, don't call me ma'am! That makes me sound like my mom! Jen or Jenny will do :)

Now, I'm off to find me some pellets....funnnnn. I love being behind the 8ball. :emb:

    Thanks!
I think I remember you from a different forum, last year, when I was frantically researching stoves. Glad to see a familiar face here :)

Thanks for all these warm welcomes - my husband is going to be happy I'm not talking to him stoves and pellets for once. I'm a get a bit obsessive at times. I know for a fact he's really glad the "which stove do we get" decision is over from last year. Now we are on "oh god, waited to long for pellets" and "should we put a vent in our ceiling and bedroom woodfloor". He told me last night that maybe I should think in my head for a bit - I was just rambling on and on :)

I noticed you have a p61. You can't help yourself from talking about pellets and stoves. Harman owners all have "issues". That's one of the reasons we are here. Safety in numbers!

I'm guessing I'm on the low end of obsessive compared to you guys. Last year, my husband and family were really happy when the heating season ended so I wasn't talking about pellets, which stove, cleaning stoves, how did it burn, no ash, lots of ash, OAK, no OAK, installs....they were fed up with me. I'm guessing I still have not reached the level of some of you, but I am going to enjoy the ride :)

I'll post some pics of the before and after install - we haven't burned yet this season. I'm sure I have a pic or two from last year though...
I wish I was able to take a photo of PREharman - when I was able to see my breath when sitting not the couch and frost on the inside of windows!
