Just wondering how any of you make Yankee Moonshine? Mason jar, fruit or juice, spice, sugar, everclear? Do you refrigerate it or is it shelf stable? What kinds have you made? Dreaming of spring and thinking some rhubarb stuff would taste purdy good! I realize it is more of a liqueur than real shine, but it is still (pun intended) good.
Good luck getting responses to that one Greenstick ! By the way, just how is the new job at the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms going for you?
We bought some Everclear to make what's called "Apple Pie". I think it's mixed with apple cider and it's VERY gooder. Now, to actually make some, then drink it.........which we almost never do. You can also buy it pre-made.
Apple pie a couple times a year. Good stuff. This time of year we have a little closet that stays about 50 degrees, summer time in the fridge. Lasts a few months.
ATF, should be the name of a really fun store-not an over-reaching bunch of government thugs regulating that which should never be within the scope of regulatory power. Anyway... I'm not doing the manufacturing of alcohol, just mixing high octane into magically delicious nectar not for resale. Just wondering what all creations any of you fellers has made or willing to offer tips or ideas on. Another I have never made but sampled is redeye.
I've never made it, but I have enjoyed partaking in it from time to time.I may have needed help back to my camp once or twice, walking, sort of.
