But I think it comes with an award of some sorts?

Got this delivered today and yesterday, and a buddy down the road should get a load or 2 as well.

Any stabs what I had to pay for it? I'll give you a hint, it rhymes with smothing, hero, milch, hip, dada.

Tree service place was in town on a big job looking to get rid of it in a hurry, nobody wanted it, assuming because pine is so scary to burn IMG_20211203_150755359_HDR.jpg

No need to hate anyone for getting logs like that.

    Happy cutting!

Alittle tough to tell from the picture but the one log on top with the small branches on it is that sweet gum?? nice load I have found that my tree customers always are willing to get rid of wood they do not want to mess with it looks like you could get some nice boards from some of the logs also if you needed them :dex:JB

Looks like scotch pine to me(Pinus sylvestris). A little too red/orange for red pine.

Looks like a little white pine, plus some I’m not familiar with. Maybe Scotch or Jack. Either way, your saw will rip through those logs quickly, it’ll dry fast, and burn hot.

Free wood is good wood, unless it's elm or gum.

Thanks all, found it on Facebook marketplace, mostly red and white pine, a few box elder pieces, a couple maples. I've actually grown to love cutting and splitting the big white pine pieces, fun to rip with the saw and they make a ton of wood in a hurry!!!

As for cleaning up, gasoline works well, or break clean. But it's a little more harsh on the hands and makes for a soggy sammich...

WD-40 should work with less mess. Miracle whip for the hands and it takes very little.

Me too! I did get a couple loads of Pine & Spruce from a tree service last month. Maybe 5 cord. All green, I gotta get it processed, but I love it for ss & burning down coals. You did real good!

I like it on leftover turkey sandwiches.. Mayo is good too though. And a side of “Canberries” (cranberries from the can).
