It sure seems good that at 6:00 pm you can still see outside. Normally when the days grow longer the cold does grow stronger for a time but it certainly hasn't happened much this year and that is great. Only I hope this does not mean we'll have a super hot summer...
I was grilling some chicken tonight for dinner and finished about 6:10. I didn't realize it was that late. I figured it was closer to 5:30. I'm ready for dark to set in around 9:45 PM....
Uncle tapped out some trees around his house yesterday and it ran.. in January that hasn't happened in my life tine.. oh tapped is when you put spigot in trees to catch sap to boil to make maple syrup!
99 was just commenting about the extra daylight today. How true and nice. Temps will be colder here for February. Hey c'mon now Canadian! You're talking with people from Michigan here!!!
Overnight on Thu we got about 8-10. Then throughout the entire day, probably 5-6 more. I didn't hear it mentioned in a single forecast either. Now another one is supposed to be on the way, but it looks to me as it will pass a bit south of us. Probably the same one that you'll have first crack at.
That's Life Think we might be hunkered down here on Mon/Tues, not a bad deal with wood stove and pellet stove!
OK of course you people get it.. needed pictures and charts to explain to some southerners. They never seen it. It's my little rant on how the media now over uses "black ice" Well idiots ice on a paved asphalt road will always look black. Black ice was a term started up heah, to explain at this time of year with sun hitting south sides of snow banks it melted and you made note where water ran over road cause when it went black (sun went down) it was ice
