Cut up some maple today and as I was piling it up, I started thinking it would have made some nice looking boards.
Edit: I’ve since attached the picture I thought I did when first posting

We cant think like that ! I've caught myself thinking that about my latest undocumented honey hole of Red Oak, would've been furniture quality

Ive thought the same while making firewood. What ever happened with that load of big cherry logs Joe? Is that destined for boards or splits?

4 logs are destined to be boards. The rest is destined to be cut and split

I think that came from low on the stump. Had a white oak log like that one time. Took a split or 2 and make some small boards with the bandsaw.

Can make some pretty lumber and what makes pretty lumber can also make great firewood.

Came across some wavy oak a few years ago and made some wedges from it. DSC03589.JPG DSC03588.JPG
