Workin' On The Woodpile

    Did some stacking and splitting this morning. I stacked about half of the ash I had already split and split all the oak I had left in rounds.

    Ash on the right oak on the left. I still have some cherry to split too.

    You remind me of my Uncle. We had a woodlot some 20 miles away and as we logged it, every night he would twitch out a couple of hardwoods and would hand split the wood. We threw it on back of the pickup and would head home. Not a lot per night, but it kept adding up as we cut wood.
