    Hey guys I'm having a tough time figuring out this wood id. Any clue on btu's? Does it split easy? Thanks for the help.


    SORRY I couldnt resist. Hope everyone is pushing through up in the winter weather. Its almost over.

    It's some sort of Palm tree. Hard to split, good btu's but the coconuts can be a headache. Found mostly in warm sandy,sunny locations, usually near water. Worth staying where your at to process, and sell to the locals, with the money made, buy a hut and live off of crab and coconuts. Enjoy your stay!

    Haha. It was 83 and sunny today. Im on an island called elbow cay, northern bahamas. Im bringing some warm air back with me dont worry guys.
