Hey guys! Been busy the last three days getting wood hauled out of my neighbors lot. Being able to fill the bucket and 3 pt hitch box really helps move more wood fast. And being able to dump the box rather than unload by hand is awesome. The pile is 11 trips with the tractor. Mainly red oak, red maple, and some ash and black birch. The pile is pretty darn big, but photo makes it look a little small. Won't get this split and stacked till fall - leave in a week for 10 weeks of work in Ohio. This nearly completes the 40 or so trees I dropped last May - probably a couple more cord to get when I return. I've never done much wood work at this time of year - black flies have been fierce and I like it cooler - normally get all this done in later fall. But, will be nice to return to a great jump on putting up another season of wood! Cheers!
Yeah NH_Wood once you use a tractor instead of a wheelbarrow life gets a little easier nice put that to good use!
Nice tractor there neighbor, you got a good set up for sure, and some great stacks. I'm in the same mood about the Black Flies as you are, difficult to work a saw with them around.
Ha! I've worked summers in Ohio for quite a few years - I enjoy your state. Spent a few weeks working around Hocking Hills a couple years ago - really beautiful! Cheers!
Thanks! You can tell when the black flies are almost done - right about when the mosquitoes get going! Seems to be right about now. Cheers!
What is the make and model of the box on the back? Also how much? Looks nice, but I need to figure out the load it will carry etc.
Cool box, to pricey for my blood but looks handy. I will stick to the gator or to the skidding winch I guess. So many tools I want to make hoarding that much more enjoyable!!
I'll get the info for you next time I see it - I think it was a $700 add-on, but might be wrong. It think it's 4'x4' and I pile to a bout 2.5 or 3' high or so. I'll be in touch. Cheers!
