I really wanted to make a huge chicken parmesan sandwich in the outdoor oven. I used my mini crock pot to make homemade sauce with ground sausage in it. After about two hours the flavors melded. I sliced a chicken breast thin, did the flour egg and bread crumb dip and cooked them on a flat skillet in olive oil. I split the bread open and put sauce on each half, along with chicken more sauce and cheese. I had the oven firing for a half hour on small oak splits. I put the angle iron in and firebricks and pushed it back. In the halves went, spinning them every few minutes. Flipped the top over and it's ready to eat. The bread was freshly made from the bakery this morning and homemade sauce really gave it some great flavor. The thin sliced chicken was really tender.
Ooo it looks so good You got the meats, and that sauce sounds really good. I should have known better then to click on this now I'm hungry
