My wife is constantly telling me I going to burn the house down with the wood chips that end up in my pockets on my socks everywhere. I think she is just being a worry wort. Anybody ever actually have a dryer fire because of wood chips? This is an electric dryer

I make sure to leave any chips outside. When the Queen is happy, the land is happy.

Happens here too. I would say the chances of a drier fire are the same as lint lighting up. Think about how dry the lint is that builds up over time.

Have you ever seen the lint from the filter burn? That stuff is a great source of kindling.

Yup I keep some dryer lint with my fire starter stuff in my "bug out bag" I'm not a prepper but I have a back pack that I usually keep in the truck with the essentials. Fire starter, first aid, knives, leather man, clean, pair of undies(you never know). My wife calls it my man purse I hate that

I don't think there is any real risk here...think about how easy lint lights off...and then take a handful of super dry saw chips and put the torch on 'em...they don't burn real well...

I think I am going to designate a set of clothes to be for wood processing and leave them in the garage to try to keep the peace

I'm with Dave on this one. No real risk.
    Especially compared to the lint.

That's what I do. Then I don't bring as much debris into the house.

I used to worry about this too a bit. More or less how the wood chips would just stay in my hoodie pockets and just stick there. Now I need to stick to just having long sleeves shirts. I did save the lint in a milk carton for firestarter but I've gathered up enough others to fit the bill so no need for lint. It always ends up being 70 percent dog hair so it really smells when burning. Best for the pit!

When they start walking away, it's time to wash them.
