So I was looking at a house on Realtor.com, seemed interesting then I realized it was an auction. I generally avoid auctions as people tend to get stupid with bids. I seen it a few more times and the wife said pick a number that you want to spend and stick too it. So not really wanting a project right now and figuring it was going to go a lot higher than I wanted to spend, I threw out a MAX bid of $31,400 figuring with 10% buyers premium it would be about $35k. Well comes down to last day and I log in with about a minute to go, clocks ticking, 3,2,1, congratulations you won. Three bedroom 1 bath on 1/4 acre, corner lot, older home lots of fancy cornice work, stained glass upper sashes. I will do all my standard upgrades that I always do, figuring spending max of $65k should be done for less. Selling price in the neighborhood is $249k, will be a nice boost to the nest egg being already retired. Or maybe another WideBody Challenger or Charger, 2nd Gen Dodge Cummins out of Texas, F1 race in Monaco wives choice........
I haven't seen anything worthy of anything more than a match for less than $50k for a long time now...great buy!
