Rewind to summer of 2020, a pretty big red oak blew over and took out 3 or 4 medium sized white oaks in my backyard. I got to thinking, no way am I just going to leave this mess here. I started searching about chainsaw milling and came upon FHC. After reading about milling and my only chainsaw (at that time) being a Stihl ms290 realized firewood might be the better choice. So, here’s the pictures that really got me started on firewood hoarding and CAD.
I will post some follow pictures of the mess cut up and stacked.

I realized pretty quick that it wasn’t a saw quality log.

Welcome to the nut house Jon40 , be warned, that soon you will have multiple chainsaws, trucks, you already have a nice assortment of mauls so you may get away without a splitter for awhile.

Love the stacks, you do fine work sir.

Thanks, I learned stacking from looking on this site for a while.
Too late on the multiple chainsaws, bought and acquired 6 or 7 in the last 4 years.
Oh and a new to me truck 6 months ago.
And a hydraulic splitter Black Friday.
    I’m fully addicted

    Sure did make purdy splits!!
CSM’n is very rewarding when you open up trees and see the beauty within. Then it’s twice as rewarding when you use the milled lumber to build something.

Nice splits and nice stacks. Sounds like you’re already past the point of no return. Hoard on!
