    Is running low?

Having a bit of a time trying to get the tractor into the fields/woods as the snow is still very high  We are fine at the house but the neighbours are getting pretty iffie.

There is about a face cord in the garage here but this is about all she has.

Her brother down the road is in the same boat.

And my buddy across the road is alright but it sure is gonna be nice when the cold breaks and can get back into felling the dead ones that arent doing anything except standing and waiting ;)

I have plenty of wood. I would just prefer not to burn it as it is eating into next year's supply.

I'm lucky to be sitting here with around 15 cord. I'd say around half that is good to burn right now if I had to. I just keep stuffin' the stove :fire:

There's an extra 1.5 cord in the shed that's planned for this, or if not used, to carry over to next year.
I always do more than needed.....just in case.
My brother is out and has been.

I'm into next year's wood. Deep into it. I might not have any next year's wood if this keeps up. I still have plenty for the next 2 winters though.

My in-laws aren't going to make it though. I think they crossed the 20 cord line this week. They heat 3 houses and DHW with a single OWB.

The wood inventory is good, if the cutting goes well this spring/summer/fall, it will be even better.

This cold will stay in the northeast until mid March so we'll be burning more wood, a banner year for chewing up the wood inventory.

It's time I cover some of next years shoulder season wood, I can see us burning some of that.

I'm glad I never listened to Sav!

    3 cord in the shed.
2-3 cord stacked just outside shed.
Guessing about 6 cord ready to go in shed.
About 13 ton of coal in the bin.
Hauled in 4 tri-axle loads of veneer cutoffs in the last month and about 10 cord of oak and maple lumber cut offs.
    I'm good !:fire:

    Was just thinking!! :D

After reading some of the replys and i am only using 3/4 of the carport for dry wood and with the new Pacific Energy T5 i am using alot less wood than other years.Thinking if i am close to 4 cord all i have to do is fill it up once a year and should be good for any other winter like the one we are having right now ;)

Emma did a nice job backing the splitter in there.
However, you forgot to get her a beverage.:)

I am running very low. Maybe 2 weeks left if im lucky. I just installed the Osburn 2200 insert in October and had only been burning the fireplace to heat the room it was in. The bottom line is that I wasnt prepared to burn wood 24/7 to heat my house since the begining of November. Oh well live and learn I guess. I am trying to get a jump on wood for next year now, but dont know if I will ever be able to get ahead like alot of you guys do though.

My supply should last for the rest of winter. There is a lot of wood for 2015-16 that needs CSS but the snow or mud is in the way.

I have enough cut/split/piled around I will still be several years ahead. Some is 5-7 years old down to 2 years old. It is all well enough seasoned I don't have to separate it in to next year's vs 2-3 years from now.

The pile of logs/future wood when I get a chance to process them will all go on movable pallets/crates so it will be easy to tell it apart from the older piles.

Having several piles I have pulled from & having given some away makes it impossible to guess how much I have burned but I will say the shop stoves have a healthy appetite! They are much happier when I fill them with the hedge!

Plenty of wood here. Working slow but sure on next years supply. The boiler is going to be hungry the next few nights around here. I think a lot of us are going to be experiencing this cold snap! Stay warm boys and girls.:fire:

Let's just say I am burning a lot of uglies, woodworking scraps, demo cutoffs and pallet chunks in the mix to save the primo stuff for next season. We are over the hump, all downhill to spring. Wood is just a phone call away. I may order an extra cord after seeing how this winter went.

I'm already into what I figured I'd be using next year.
    But I'm not "low"
    I've got 8 cords of 15% oak.
I'm pretty much sitting on a fairly good ( more usual Winter ) 4 years stash .
